19 weeks and counting...

"A southern girl knows her seasons..
recruiting, spring training, practice, and FOOTBALL"

That's right USC kickoff is a mere 19 weeks away and in anticipation of that glorious event I'm spending my day shopping for fun tailgate goodies.

I'm definitely going to have to place an order
They don't have much Gamecock but they do special orders

My fave in gamecock colors of course

It's hard to find Garnet but Black and white
with Garnet accessories is always easy
and I just love the twisted stripe dress

And Judith March always has the
Gameday  Collection

This year my must have for gameday is

and for the kiddies (and mommies too)
Gameday dresses by my friend Betsy
She is making some other cute gameday stuff too.

peel and eat

OK so I've been inlove with the peel and eat pattern but I haven't loved any of the dresses it comes in. Quandary!!! Luckily, I'm still small enough that I can wear the larger kid sizes (additional bonus.. they're cheaper) so I think this would make a lovely birthday gift from the hubby (he buys me a Lilly dress every year for my birthday.. can you say Sweet husband?) So these are the 2 like..

I love all things with Ric Rac..
but I've never tried the kids shifts???
.. i do like this adult one but they don't have anymore 0s
but adjustable straps are always safe???

This one isn't peel and eat but i like it too.

In the spirit of SPRING

After all the snow this year.. I'm so excited about spring. Last weekend a friend asked me to make some treats for her dogs so I used my flowers and Easter shapes.. Which inspired me to bust out the Easter wreath and the Easter decorations (seen in the back drop of my nieces dresses).

Well today I got a really exciting little package in the mail that made me even more excited for spring things. My best friend, Betsy, who owns Little Dreamers Boutique, sent me a cute little dress and some dresses for my super cute little nieces.

And a pretty dress just for me..

Countdown to Cup

Cup is only 5 days away.
For those of you not from SC.. the Carolina Cup is the big thing for Spring. Pretty dresses and floppy hats (well if you don't look like a nerd in a hat.. which I do).  Well as crunch time approaches so does the dress stress. And as a procrastinator, I have not a clue what I want to wear this year.

I bought this really cute French Connection dress a while ago but never wore it so it was my fall back plan. With no luck searching it's pretty much going to be my Cup dress now. So I'm not going to put it on here but these were some of my top choices..

I don't really wear Lilly to Cup because SOOO many girls do and I hate getting out there and having on the same thing as someone else. However, I was considering it this year, just because we aren't going to be in College Park and the odds of someone at 1 of 3 tailgates we'll go to having on the same thing is pretty slim. So I went to Lilly a few weeks ago and tried on a few different dresses.. here are the ones I was considering...

I love Lilly but they run big. However, this 0 was perfect fit.

I haven't tried this one on but I love it on the model

I also really liked these but I couldn't seem to find either when
I went shopping in Knoxville.

Loved the neckline on the Nanette Lepore
loving yellow this spring.. this Milly was a fave

Spring is coming and the clothes are HERE!!!

So far on my wish list are these cute little items I found at a boutique in Knoxville and a few others i found while shopping online. Lucky for me my birthday is in spring so I always get a few new goodies (paid for by the parentals) and these are definitely making my wish list..

Love these colors
Love this for early spring
more fun colors (might be my cup dress)
Another favorite for early spring
Love this Trina Turk top
French Connection tiered skirt
(love the print but you can't really see it here)
This is my Birthday/Easter Dress - I'm OBSESSED with it!!
This one is my mommy's favorite
so fingers crossed it will make it in my closet after April

jewelry

So a few weeks ago I was looking for some fun green jewelry to wear for St. Pats.. no luck but I did stumbled upon these cute little sea turtles on Splash of Pink's website. I couldn't order them then because obviously buying a valentine's day gift for the hubby was more important. Well my fun new earrings came in yesterday and completely made my long day worth it. I'm so glad I decided to order my Fornash Sea Turtles last week because they are perfect. (Green is one of my all time favorite colors so I'm in love with these little guys)

If you don't know.. I'm kind of obsessed with little sea creatures. Starfish and Sea Turtles are my absolute fave but I pretty much love it all. So next time I'm having a bad day, any of these would make an easy pick me up.. and a fun additions to my summer jewelry collection.

I already have these starfish from J. Crew.. and they make me happy every time I wear them. I even splurged and bought the necklace to match. I hope my turtles have the same effect.. but I already know they will!!!

Ready for Love

Dear Rachel Zoe.. thank you for reminding me Valentines Day is a mere 2 weeks away. Now I'm planning a fun night out and gifts (gifts not to be listed here, for spying eyes). After the planning came the usual.. WHAT TO WEAR???

I love this dress, suggested by the Zoe Report.. and it was basically the only one on there that wasn't completely outside of my fashion scope.. so if I don't go with something I already own I'll probably end up ordering this one when I order my shoes. Check the dress out at Nordstrom.

I like this BCBG dress for a "sexier look" (minus the hideous white shoes) but I'm not sure something this fitted really works for a dinner date. And honestly I'm just not sure I could pull of something this tight, but for those of you who can ..I think it's a fun night out dress.

This one isn't really a V-Day dress but I found it while shopping online and it is so me.. it just screams JEN HAVE ME. But since this fabulous Dior dress has a whopping $2,900 price tag.. I don't think this one will be hanging in my closet anytime soon. BUT I WANT IT so in the event I hit the lottery it's mine.. which isn't likely since I don't play it. So I think I'm going to have to let this one go. And I'm not really a fan of white shoes, they are 9 times out of 10 just hideous, but as far as white shoes go.. the pair the model has on are def the way to go.

These are the shoes I want and plan to order over the weekend. I've needed a new pair of black heels for a while so V-Day seems like the perfect excuse to buy myself something I already needed anyway.

Dress Obsessed

I love everything about my wedding but as I was shopping online this morning (because that is the only place there is to shop in BFvirginia) I found this dress I'm absoulutely obsessed with. I don't love it as a wedding dress but I do love it as a guest of a wedding dress (obviously not in white) So my new mission is to either find a dress identical to it or find someone who will make me this dress.

While looking through the designers stuff I found this dress which made me wish I was a little more trendy. Don't get me wrong I LOVE MY WEDDING DRESS ..I would wear it everyday if that wouldn't look completely rediculous.. But this is a fun modern dress. I couldn't ever pull it off but I do love it.

Both dresses are by Jason Wu and can be found at Net-A-Porter.com

Goodie - four day weekend

Last weekend was a four day weekend in VA. lucky me!! ...a 4 day weekend filled with lots of fun goodies.

We made a trip down to SC to see some friends and celebrate a few upcoming weddings. But before we left I found a little package on my front door step. MY AUBERGINE HUNTER WELLIES!! Which I had been waiting for for what I feel like was a life time (it was closer to a week since I ordered them on the 10th but I was just that excited).. but as the snow melted my package ARRIVED!! and might I say it was worth the wait.. I love everything about these boots they are super cute and not bulky. The color is perfect (and I realized after they came in it's the same color Bella wears in the Twilight).. it will go with pretty much everything in my wardrobe. They do run a little big but luckily I knew that before I ordered them. I usually wear a 5.5 or a 6. My J. Crew wellies were a 6 but I ordered a 5 in the Hunters and they are perfect.

Then when we got down to SC we went out with our fun friend Jonathan, who came down from Colorado, and some of our other SC friends. Then I woke up the next day and went to LaRoque to pick up a fun dress to wear to one of the 5 weddings we have to go to this summer. literally five!!  The dress is super cute.. just like Annabelle and everything she does. It's great to know people with amazing talents. <<Now if only I could find out what my amazing talent is>>

I maybe a little partial since she did do my BM dresses, my garter (well her and my mom teamed up and did my garter), my flower girls dress, and my ring bearer's bow tie. Which, I think, turned out fabulous!! You can see it all here. But I just love her and can't wait to go back to visit her so she make me a fun spring dress.

These are a Few of my Favorite Things

Tis the season for Christmas shopping and since my mom has been harassing me for a list so she can start her Christmas shopping I've been giving alot of thought to what this good little girl would like for Christmas this year.

Topping the list is a new computer since my laptop has decided it hates me and the puppy we fostered thought the cord was a chew toy. SO UPGRADE!!

Also on the list, but highly unlikely, is the Cartier Love Bracelet. If I don't get it for Christmas this one is pretty much a staple gift item.. Valentine's Day, Birthday, 1st Wedding Anniversary.. Whatevs.. I've emailed the husband links to where it can be purchased.. subtle I know!! However I'm having some difficulty deciding between the Gold (since the watch Husband gave me as a wedding gift is the MK Gold and Horn) and the White Gold (since my wedding ring is Platinum and White Gold)??? Choices!!!
As much as I love my MK Horn watch that the Honey gave me.. I'm also craving this delicious MK watch.. you know just to change it up.. plus this is dressier than the Horn. I mean can someone who reads time on her cell phone really have too many watches?? I think not.

Oh yeah. And since I'm obsessed with fun nail polish.. I normally buy myself OPI but Tis' the Season for Giving and you typically ask for something special.. a splurg.. well HELLO.. I'll take this Chanel Nail Trio Please
I'm also asking for a new IPod since mine is slightly outdated and I have no clue how to update it with out loosing all my old songs.. I'm a little bit of a tech tard. A new lense for my "fancy pants Nikon" and a new bag so I can carry all my lenses. New jeans and a few sweaters.. clothes are always a staple.

The delima is, however, what to get hubby!?! My mom and step-dad are easy. The brothers and I have the routine Christmas gifts. Husband basically spends all his time studying for Law School and never asks for anything. I have 2 ideas but then blank. HELP!!!

XOXO
